City of Nederland animal control ordinances require that when a dog is off of its owner's property, it must be on a leash. Please be responsible and keep your dog controlled at all times. This not only protects the safety and rights of other citizens, but keeps your pet safe and prevents the pet from being lost. Whether you own a dog or a cat, remember to have your pet spayed or neutered.

A cat ordinance has not been adopted; therefore, the City’s Animal Control Officer does not catch stray cats.
