The Human Resources Department is dedicated to providing quality services to all City Departments, employees, applicants, retirees, and citizens of the City of Nederland.
Human Resources is responsible for the recruitment and retention of qualified employees, compensation and classification administration, employee benefits, personnel records administration, employee and labor relations, administration of policy and procedures, state and federal law compliance and other personnel related matters.
The Department is also tasked with ensuring compliance with Civil Service Rules and Regulations, administering the City’s safety and wellness programs and managing the City’s property, windstorm, liability, auto and workers compensation insurance coverage.
