CITY OF NEDERLAND
TRAILER PARK BOARD OF APPEALS MINUTES

5:00 p.m. January 13, 2004

The meeting was held January 13, 2004, in the Nederland City Office Building, 1400 Boston Avenue, Nederland, Texas and was called to order at 5:00 p.m. By Chairman Guy Barlow.

MEMBERS PRESENT: Guy Barlow, Barney Green and Kenneth Whigham
MEMBERS ABSENT: Bill Cummins and Mickey Fenn
CITY STAFF PRESENT: Rod Hatch, Building Official
OTHERS PRESENT: Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. Long and Carolyn Piletere

MINUTES
A motion was made by Kenneth Whigham and seconded by Barney Green to approve the minutes of the December 9, 2003 meeting. All voted aye.

VARIANCES

  1. Billy Lavender, owner of the property located at 3512 Avenue A, described as Lot 3, Block 9, Airport 1 Subdivision requested an extension of the variance to live in a trailer, on the described property until the end of January while her house is going through mold remediation. After a full discussion, a motion was made by Kenneth Whigham and seconded by Barney Green to extend the variance through January 31, 2004. All voted aye.
     
  2. Robert S. Long, owner of the property located at 2808 West Boston, described as Lot 3, Block 3, Youmans 3 Addition, requested an extension of the variance to live in a trailer, on the described property while his house is going through the mold remediation process. After a full discussion, a motion was made by Kenneth Whigham and seconded by Barney Green to extend the variance for another six months. All voted aye.
     
  3. Carolyn Piletere, owner of the property located at 1411 Avenue H, described as Lot 7, Block 14G, Track 2, of the Port Arthur Land Company, requested an extension of the variance to live in a trailer, on the described property while her house is going through the mold remediation process. After a full discussion, a motion was made by Barney Green and seconded by Kenneth Whigham to extend the variance for one year. All voted aye.

ADJOURN
There being no other business, a motion was made by Kenneth Whigham and seconded by Barney Green to adjourn the meeting at 5:25 p.m. All voted aye.
