CITY OF NEDERLAND
TRAILER PARK BOARD OF APPEALS MINUTES

5:00 p.m. October 12, 2004

The meeting was held October 12, 2004, in the Nederland City Office building, 1400 Boston Avenue, Nederland, Texas and was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Chairman Guy Barlow.

MEMBERS PRESENT: Guy Barlow, Bill Cummins, Barney Green and Mickey Fenn
MEMBERS ABSENT: Kenneth Whigham
CITY STAFF PRESENT: Rod Hatch, Building Official and Debby Griffin, Inspections Department Secretary
OTHERS PRESENT: Jake Waller and Mark Forey

MINUTES
A motion was made by Bill Cummins and seconded by Barney Green to approve the minutes of the September 14, 2004 meeting. All vote aye.

VARIANCES

  1. Mrs. Maurice LeBlanc, owner of the property located at 823 Chicago, described as Lot 6, Block 3, of the Haizlip Addition, requested an extension on her variance to live in her house trailer on the described property. After a full discussion a motion was made by Barney Green and seconded by Bill Cummins to approve the variance for one year. All voted aye.
     
  2. Jake Waller, Sr., owner of the property located at 2120 Helena, described as the SW 1/2 of Lot 1, Block 2, of the Cottage Groves Addition, requested an extension on his variance to live in a HUD-code Manufactured Home on the described property. After a full discussion a motion was made by Bill Cummins and seconded by Mickey Fenn to approve the variance for one year. All voted aye.
     
  3. Mark Forey, owner of the property located at 1016 22nd Street, described as part of Lot 5, Block 2, of the Cottage Groves Addition, requested a variance to live in a 26' 5th wheel travel trailer while he rebuilds his house, which was destroyed in a fire. After a full discussion a motion was made by Barney Green and seconded by Mickey Fenn to approve the variance for one year. All voted aye.

A motion was made by Barney Green and seconded by Bill Cummins to adjourn the meeting at 5:15 p.m. All voted aye.
