ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

NOTICE is hereby given of a meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals to be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at 5:00 p.m. at the City of Nederland D. Bob Henson Office Building, 1903 Atlanta, Nederland, Texas for the purpose of considering the following agenda items.

  1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER
     
  2. APPROVE THE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
     
  3. VARIANCES

    Consider action approving a variance for Tommy Romero, owner of the property located at 1306 Ithaca, described as Lots 2 and 3, Block 2 North Side Addition, requesting a variance to move a residential structure from 1306 Ithaca to Lot 1, Block 2, Tract 1, Replat N 90', North Side Addition.

    Consider action approving a variance for Dana Bellanger, owner of the property located at 219 6th Street, described as Lot 1, Block 16F, 50 x 140, Tract 3, Port Arthur Land Company, requesting a 10' variance to the 20' front building setback requirement; a 10' variance to the 20' rear building setback requirement; and a 10' variance to the 20' corner side building setback requirement, to build a 4 or 8-plex unit.

    Consider action approving a variance for John and Kim Nguyen, owners of the property located at the corner of Avenue K and S. 13th Street, described as Lots 11 and 12, Block 11, Wagner 2 Addition, requesting a 5' variance to the 10' corner side building setback requirement in order to build a tri-plex.

    Consider action approving a variance for Thomas Hicklin, owner of the property located at 1004 Helena, described as Lot 6, Rienstra Acreage Addition, requesting a 10' variance to the 30' front building setback requirement and a 5' variance to the 20' rear yard requirement in order to build two duplexes.

    Consider action approving a variance for Newberry Properties Ltd., owner of the property located at 923 N. 14th Street, described as Frt. 100E of Lot 3, Block 3, North Side Addition, requesting a 5' variance to the rear setback requirement to rebuild a carport damaged by Hurricane Rita.
