NEDERLAND CITY COUNCIL AGENDA

NOTICE is hereby given of a regular meeting of the Nederland City Council to be held Monday, March 27, 2006, 6:00 p.m., at the Nederland City Office Building, 1400 Boston Avenue, Nederland, Texas, for the purpose of considering the following agenda items. The City Council reserves the right to retire into Executive Session concerning any of the agenda items whenever it is considered necessary and legally justified pursuant to Texas Government Code, Chapter 551.

    1. Consider action approving an interlocal agreement with Jefferson County Sheriff's Office regarding participation in the Jefferson County Narcotics Task Force.
       
    2. Consider action approving a Memorandum of Agreement with the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

    1. Consider action authorizing the advertisement of Requests for Proposals for Debris Management Services.
       
    2. Consider action approving the purchase of a pick-up truck for the Fire Department.

    1. Consider action approving a revised Essential Services Policy for the City of Nederland.
       
    2. Consider action approving a Retired Computer Disposal Policy.
       
  11. APPOINTMENTS

    Consider action appointing Corrie Zepeda as acting City Clerk.

  12. SURPLUS

    Consider action declaring certain City property as surplus and authorizing its disposal.

  13. PAYMENTS
     
    1. Consider action approving a payment to N&T Construction in the amount of $40,840.97, Hurricane Rita renovations of the Recreation Center and Hughes Library.
       
    2. Consider action approving a payment to The LaBiche Architectural Group, Inc. in the amount of $7,035.06, Hurricane Rita renovations of the Recreation Center, Hughes Library, and Fire Station.
       
    3. Consider action approving a payment to Neches Engineers in the amount of $1,415.70, Hurricane Rita roof repairs to City buildings.
       
  14. EXECUTIVE SESSION (No Public Discussion on These Items)

    The City Council will announce that it will go into Executive Session, pursuant to Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, to discuss matters as specifically listed on the agenda, or as authorized by law.

  15. RECONVENE

    Reconvene into regular session and discuss and take action, if any, on items discussed in Executive Session.
