Welcome to the Nederland Police Department website. The Nederland Police Department is committed to providing the best in law enforcement and protection to the citizens of Nederland Texas. We are aware that a safe community is the product of cooperation between citizens and their local police. I am pleased to say that Nederland has a close working relationship between the citizens we serve and the Nederland Police Department.

The Nederland Police Department participates in various community based programs including, Crime Stoppers, Neighborhood Watch, Seniors and Law Enforcement Together, the Nederland Chamber of Commerce, the Nederland Heritage Festival, and various other civic organizations.

We have an officer assigned on a full time basis as a School Resource Officer. This officer works primarily at Nederland High School and our two middle schools. The SRO program has been very successful in several ways. It provides a measure of security at the schools, the officer at the schools handles criminal investigations on the school campuses, thus relieving patrol officers from that duty, and he works as a liaison between the school district, it's students and the Police Department.

The criminal investigation division consists of four full time detectives, along with a full time officer assigned to the Jefferson County Narcotics Task Force.
